McNeal_ChangingMood

Hey all, Kathy McNeal here.

This is my blocking for the Changing Moods pose so far. I was sick on the first turn in date when we looked at them in class, so I didn't get any feedback on them. I know there are still some things to fix, then hands are in IK, and if anyone can tell me how to keep his left hand on the ground in the same position at he's standing up that would be a huge help.

  1. Hey it's Rachel Duchrow!

I think its looking good, but yea that hand is distracting. Is that hand parented to the world or the shoulders? If its to the shoulders that could be why its moving around. That's what was happening to mine for a bit >.<
The leg on the left side (so...I guess his right leg? lol) Feels a little off to me. It looks like you are having him scoot it in a few times before the foot is planted? I'm not sure, but it doesn't read very well.
Overall I think the timing is a little slow and even too.
It thinks it's coming along though :)I like that he leans over and you can feel the weight of the body as he gets up.

  2. Nick Marshall Here.
Im totally digging the idea and can see where you are going with this, and with a few fixes this will end up looking pretty sweet. I think that the main issue I have with this is that there doesn't feel like there is any weight in his left hand when it is planted on the ground. This kinda makes him feel like he is floating. I think doing some anticipation before the left hand leaves the ground and with the push off of the knee in the beginning would add a lot to the believability of the piece.

    good luck and keep trucking!
