So this is where I am so far. I've played with the movement of the wrist and of the head, just to try and get some of that overlap feel. There's something weird going on with the eyes, as I'm sure many of you have noticed in your own files of the girl point by now, and I'm trying to figure out how best to resolve that issue. Other than that, the basic feel I want to get with this girl is that her finger goes straight up, pauses in (rather than slowly moving around everywhere), and swings back down, as if she's saying "That, is exactly.... correct!"

Hey Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI think your shot has nice overall contrast in the timing.
Over the past few days I have also been struggling with that same eye issue. The trick Nick and I ended up figuring out was that when you move the eyes, you have to move them by the center blue spike looking rig located at the center of the head in between the eyes. Not the ski googles looking rig in front of the head. The ski googles rig, and just plane rotating the head will offset the eyes. So, when you are blocking your shot, in your All button, have the center blue spike be in the selection.
Hope that helps.
Keep up the nice work! :]

Overall you need to add more slowing in/out and settling at the end, and of course put some animation in the left hand as well.
